Can we accelerate the green transition by recruiting outside country borders?

New project works on discovering how the attraction of talent can ignite the green transition.

In the project Talent to a Green Denmark, project partners – including the local association Knowledge Hub Zealand and Kalundborg Municipality – aim to support SMEs in the reorganization necessary to manufacture sustainably and to continuously be subcontractors for producers of green solutions.

But what we see is that many manufacturing SMEs have yet to start their green transition. And on top of that, they face severe recruitment challenges.

the Support of Danish SMEs is central

Manufacturing companies make up approx. 40 % of the Danish export, and these companies play a key role for the Danish employment and economy. The sector is also a driver of the green transition aiming to become the world’s first climate neutral production industry in 2030.

And this is where Talent to a Green Danmark steps in. The purpose of the project is to support the SMEs in fast-tracking their strategic development to attract and attach foreign workers with a specific focus on sustainability and green solutions – for the benefit of the Danish community AND the climate.

Talent to a Green Denmark is funded by the European Union and Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse.
