Bachelor of Engineering in Robot Systems?
In the Danish robotics and automation industry there is a need for qualified labor. A need that is expected to continuously grow as this industry develops.
In Kalundborg, we are on a historic growth journey, and we have an urgent need for specialized competences within automation, robotics technology, digitalization, data analysis, data application, data management, and data science.
University College Absalon (Professionshøjskolen Absalon) has applied for prequalification of the program Bachelor of Engineering in Robot Systems at the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science’s assessment council, RUVU (𝘋𝘦𝘵 𝘳å𝘥𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦 𝘶𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘷𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘧 𝘶𝘥𝘣𝘶𝘥 𝘢𝘧 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘨å𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦 𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦𝘳).
RUVU’s decision is expected in April 2024.
An International educational environment
The Bachelor of Engineering in Robot Systems will be taught in English – both in terms of attracting more international students but also for the program to be widely applicable in a more and more internationalized industry.
Absalon is already offering the program Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology in English in Kalundborg – with great succes, as there is both a large number of applicants and high job security after graduation.
local talent growth
In the Biotech City, we aim to locally grow the talents that our industry needs.
Thus, representatives from educational institutions, companies, and other relevant organizations continuously develop new educational offers and attempt to spot trends and foresee what the industry will need in the future.
In this way, our educational environment continuously develop as the industry grows. And competences within automation and robotics technology would be a valuable add-on to this local food chain contributing to the sustainable growth journey in Scandinavia’s biggest bioproduction hub in Kalundborg.
